The story begins in the early 1900s, when the grandfather of Diego Della Valle, Philip, creates a small shoe factory. The transition from an industrial company family business is done at the end of years 70. Today, Tod's SpA, the parent company of a Group, which ranks among the leading players in the production and marketing of footwear and leather goods, with the Tod's and Hogan, active also in clothing with Fay. The Group's brands, despite their distinct identity, are united by a common philosophy, which is characterized by a balanced mix of tradition and modernity, high quality, creative contribution and broad usefulness of each product. The high quality of products is guaranteed by the strong craftsmanship involved in all stages of the production chain: each product is made by hand, with superior craftsmanship techniques, to become, after numerous passages and controls, an exclusive and distinguishable object. For all products the purchase of materials, monitoring of all stages of production and the control of finished products are centralized with the parent company, also on products made in external laboratories.
