Save the Duck
The Forest clothing company was born in 1914 thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of Foresto Bargi who began his career as a tailor stitching men's jackets for a fee of just 70 cents. During the war of 1915/18 in which he took part, he was struck by a special water repellent fabric used by British troops. Upon returning from the front he opened a small workshop in Pisa starting to offer garments with that fabric waterproofed by importing from England. The question became important and Foresto began to produce different sizes imitating what is already happening in the United States. The workshop quickly became a large factory to the point that the Forest turned into one of the largest factories of Italian clothing. It was then that to further promote the product thought for first sponsor race cars that participated to major automotive awards, including Formula 1
